    I will be surprised if it gets very far with its vague language. "Designed and functions to increase the rate of fire." If something increases the rate of fire but is designed for something else, it is legal according to the law. Or it should be. So the slide fire stock is redesigned for disabled people without fine motor skills. Since the weapon is fired by pushing the weapon and the trigger is not actually pulled, it can be redesigned for those who cannot pull the trigger for whatever reason.

    Looks like he NRA was right in trying to get out in front of this.

    The NRA was trying to get the ATF, not the legislators, to rule on this.

    Called both senator's offices and my reps office yesterday asking for support of the SHARE act and HPA. Also asked to oppose any proposed anti gun legislation.

    So typical that our legislators are ignorant of the topics on which they are trying to write laws. They leave it vague as they are too lazy to take effort to learn details and craft accurate, clean legislation.
