Just curious if any one is able to point me to the revised statue that would potentially say
"No firearms on a school campus, except in your vehicle, as it is an extension of your home".
I'm a CCW holder and understand I can't take it in the school, but have heard from a number of LEOs that they won't issue a citation for a firearm in a vehicle on a school campus (unless, of course, your being stupid with it).
    Thx

My understanding is.... If you are a employee you can be fired. If you are a student you can be expelled. With that said as long as it stays in the vehicle and you don’t do something stupid with it you won’t receive a criminal charge.

I’m sure someone will post the statue.

With the murders we have had in my area the question has come up about carrying a gun. One woman said she works at a school and can only carry wasp spray in her vehicle. I posted the law for her and her reply was she had asked the school LEO and the school administrator and both told her it was illegal. I told her she might could be fired under school policy but it wasn't illegal under LA state law. And just because a person has the authority to make a arrest doesn't mean they know the law.

People always confuse policy and law don’t they.

You feeling ok lately? I’m concerned that you let the *CCW* in the OP slip by.....
