Well I went with the Atn x/sight 3-14, that thing is nice... Got it on sale for $499 w/free shipping, sighted it in real fast in the back yard with my 180gr subs, 3 shot group touching @75yrds!!!! Just played with it at night and it's real nice!!! I see what you mean about its bright, lol gotta take a break. Mine came with the IR850 illuminator, which I am supprised, I thought they came with that little cheap illuminator. I almost bought the ir850 for $150 with it because of the distance but I'm glad I didn't cause it came with it lol... It is very clear during day time I was supprised... Zoomed all the way in it gets grainy but still more than acceptable for $500. And the night time is very clear also, kinda grainy zoomed in but 100% able to identify far objects, far exceed my expectations for a $500 nv scope and way better than any YouTube video of them I have seen!!!!

Yea for $500 it's pretty darn cool imo. And effective.

Have you killed with those 308 subs yet? Was wondering if they would work on a hog 100yards or less. I'm going to be mounting my xsight on my POF Revolution and putting my hybrid on for pig poppin. Was thinking about finding some subs to try out...I don't reload

    yet lol

Don't see why not... Over 500ft/lbs at 100 yards... Put it behind the ear.. I've killed several hogs with a 22 standard velocity 40gr (subsonic) to the hardest part of the head, between the eyes, don't see why 180gr at the same speed wouldn't do it to just behind the ear... I have water jug tested them and they will go through 7-1 gal milk jugs of water before stopping, that's a lot of weight to stop

Gotcha I had read that on the marlin 45/70 forums as well when they shoot them subsonic. Big 405gr flat faced slow mover to punch a big hole all the way through.

Now you see why I said the green nds light and a laser.
That nv is bright.I have the older model and it is still
bright, not as bright as the new one.

The green laser is what its all about. If you bore sight the laser
and scope,it makes it so ezzz. You know where ever the green
dot is,that is where the bullet is going.Almost like apples in a
    barrel at that point:)

    Good luck...
