    Has anyone used a Skinner Express sight on a Marlin 336 and if so, were you able to use the existing front ramp sight or replace it with a taller sight?

    Yes and you might be able to. But why in earth would you want to. That’s the worst front sight on the planet. Replace it with a Lyman globe sight.

    I looked at the Lymans and I don't care for an enclosed or hooded front sight. If I have to replace the front it will probably be a Firesight or other fiber optic.

    Only experiance I have with skinners is I have on a marlin 1895g and it's the "winged" tactical front and rear, very good quality sight, a lot of good wright ups on marlinowners.com and "parson" on that sight works with them and is very good with info on there about what size front sight ect

    I used skinners with Med insert and orange fiber on a henry 44 mag.. Loved them.. fit and finish was great. was worth it to me.. as lyman is on wrist of stock and not my style..
