I am hunting for a good thumb assisted opening knife with a blade between 2-2.5inches and around $100 for my son for Christmas. I let him have by slightly used Benchmade Presidio AFO and he didn't like the size and wanted something smaller that was not auto.
    Thanks in advance

+ one for Kershaw. I've carried by Whirwind for over 11 years. They repeatedly have 2 or more of the top 5 assisted openers in their price range.

another +1 for Kershaw, I have 4 that I rotate through.

All 4 have come from McKinney Honda in Ruston. They do this Christmas promotion each year where they sell Kershaw Speed Safe Knives that have a retail of $50 for $10 (until this year). This year they increased the price to $15 but the knife is bigger this year and by far the best one they have offered since I started picking one up each Christmas in 2014.

I buy one each year and just rotate which one gets clipped to my pocket each day. For me they are great knives and you can't beat the price.

I love the Kershaw Blur and the Benchmade Mini-Barrage. Carry them every day. The Kershaw is about half the price and has an awesome grip on it. Both made in the USA!

I bought a Kershaw leek and the pictured Kershaw knockout at the same time. I sent the leek back and bought a spare knockout. It’s very fast to deploy, super thin, and very light. The knockout is also made right here in the USA and all of this for $54 on amazon.

I've been a Kershaw fan for years and have many in my rotation. Just picked up the new Al Mar design Kershaw and have been pleased with it so far.

I’ve been a Kershaw fan for years now, have some of the best production value blades on the market. After seeing this, I’m going to have to give the Knockout a try. I’ve been carrying a Spyderco PM2 for a year replacing Kershaw/ZT rotation. Thanks for the pic.

Strange, it doesn't show that in the stock photos or any of the customer photos. Fingers crossed that they send me one with it!

I ordered a second one that should be here tomorrow or Thursday. I’ll let you know if it has the flag on it.

I think you will be happy with the knockout.

+1 for kershaw. been carrying a chive for mmm, 16 years? was my first tool truck purchase. My most worthwhile one. Even my chinese made 2 for $20 kershaws that I bought at walmart a few christmases ago are holding up pretty good, I've pretty much forgotten the tanto exists, but the regular one stays with me while hunting.
