USPSA guys near Lafayette - Where do you practice?

Hi all - moving to Lafayette in Jan and wondering where you guys practice?

Looks like a lot of the matches are at sheriff ranges - will they let the general public come and practice "run-and-gun" stuff?

Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks in advance!

We have a practice session at FRC in BR on Tuesday night. Not exactly close but doable. Not sure about the sheriff ranges. Some have days you can shoot but run & gun is probably out of the question. Too many folks around for that. There are several action shooting matches within 2 hours of your area.

There's really not much of anything in the Lafayette area to support it. You've got to travel.

Yeah MikeR - seems that way. Fortunately, I'm used to an hour-ish drive to my current practice range in TX.

There is a group at Palo Alto shooting range in Donaldsonville that has pistol competitions every month. There is web site for them. I don't know about practices.
