    Anyone know how to tell if I have a mil-spec or commercial buffer tube? I have a Stag 2L but have no idea how to tell. I'd be very interesting in picking up a CTR.

    If it's a factory stag lower, you've got a Mil-Spec tube.

    will it come with the spring and buffer tube?

    I would highly doubt it. This is just the stock, not the entire assembly.

    Forgive my stupidiotsness, but what's a CTR???

    if you check out larue tactical's website, they have a document that describes the difference and how to identify between a commercial and milspec... i'd be willing to bet your stag is commercial. i doubt it will come with a buffer tube and spring... the ctr is just a slide on replacement for your current adjustable stock...

    STOCK AND RUBBER BUTTPAD ONLY

    Measure the cross-section with calipers:
    Mil-Spec = 1.14"
    Commercial = 1.17"

    The CMT (Stag) should be Mil-Spec. I use them in my builds
