I found more and more of the cabins are showing up on Google maps. Maybe find the cabin name, not the agency and search that way.

Use Airbnb. You can filter your search to fit your needs. Read the description and reviews carefully and you'll find exactly what you want. Book months ahead of time, the good ones go quick or are rarely available.
I'm in seveirville right now in an OK cabin. Wish I had not waited so late, but so far it's been pleasant.

Shannon Penn owns and runs a few cabins in that area (He ran for sherriff in St John a few times and owns a body shop there). If you call the shop they can give you the contact info (Shannon's on McReine Rd in Laplace). They're supposed to be very nice.

I have had great success in that area with VRBO.com

We also had a great stay in a cabin listed on VRBO, I'll get you the info on the one we stayed in, it was in the mountains but still not to far from everything. I hope it is still there after the fires though, we would definitely stay in the same cabin again.

Have a favorite that you have stayed in?

Sent from the Bayou Bunker Command Center, Portable Unit #33, FEMA Region 6.

We stayed in 2 small 1 room cabins, as we were just 1 couple. I don't remember the names, honestly. Most of the cabins we saw were not that far from the hustle and bustle, but far enough away you would not be disturbed. The 1st time we went we rente through Aunt Bugs. We were not satisfied with their service or the cabin at all. The next 2 times we went was through VRBO. Two different managers and we found they cared about the experience and comfort alot more and were very attentavive to even simple request with wifi troubles.

We looked back and the cabin was at :1546 Ski View Lane, Sevierville,Tn., it was called "3 Bears Hideout", we can not find any info now, I have a feeling it burned in the fires.

I would still highly recommend VRBO for locating a nice place.

Did that cabin have an insanely scary mountain drive to get to it and a VERY steep driveway?
