I would suspect the usual - Glock, M&P, Springfield, SIG, an occasional revolver.
Our last class, a neighbor and I shot a Kimber and Wilson.

Mainly Glocks or M&P's. I am going to bring a 1911 to my next one. I can't decide, the 9mm has more capacity, but the .45 supposedly kills the soul. What do you think? I have plenty of clip things for each one. :eek3:

Well I did post in the CCW/Carry forum :hs:
I posted as I was curious. As when i have been in the big box stores. I see guys buying small 380's and 5 shot snubie wheel guns
And both would be hard to shot well for most, verses a medium sized semi auto
I also posted from a small phone. Why am I explaining my self to you

You're gonna give me another infraction, tough guy?

In all fairness. Have you ever taken a CCW class?

I'll see a LOT of different stuff in the classes I teach.

What stands out: Lots of g19s, shields, g43s. The occasional XDs and XD subs. Taurus slim thing (whatever the model number is). The sig p938/238 and equivalent.

Hardly see any 642/442 or equivalent which i find surprising.

Years ago Glock stated in their annual magazine their most accurate pistol was the G30.

Sure is! After Reading the Articles; I just had to have one. Took my Colt Officers 80 Series to local dealer and traded for the G30.

Since Traded for the G30SF. A real pleasure to shoot....you miss a lot less...LOL

    Most Common guns seen

What's the most common one you see people use

When I took the CCW class a 1/3 of the people there were using .22 semi-autos. Next came a camp of 9mm. I think I was the only one with a .45. Scary part was that 1/4 of the people there had just purchased their firearms. Didn't even know how to load or operate them.

Really!!!! I own a G30 and a G26 and the G26 is a better CCW in my opinion. As far as accuracy the G43 outshoots them both but magazine capacity is low since it is a single stack.

Hmmm...What is Accuracy?....3 Shots, 1 Ragged Hole, at 30 ft.! And, back then; the G43 was not in the mix.

However, I'll agree academically, (not having handled it) the G43 is considered "Ultra-Concealable"

I usually drag out the old Colt Model 1917 war horse.
    1. Fast reloads with the full moon clips.
    2. Don't have to pick up my brass.
    3. The fun of outshooting people with a 100 year old revolver!

Very unusual, are you shooting at 25 yards?

I have a Glock 27 and a 43, and I can shoot the 43 much more accurately. Mostly, I suspect, because of the low recoil of the 43 (and the rather snappy recoil if the .40 S&W round in such a small frame). In fact, I’ve surprised myself by how accurately I can shoot the 43 at 25 yards.

The G27 is one of the most difficult Glock pistols to shoot for many people. Size of your G43 5 shot groups at 25 yards?

I always took whatever I was going to carry. I was in a renewal class about 9 years ago and saw a guy I know he wanted to know what I was shooting. At the time I was carrying a Sig P239 .357Sig. He said he was shooting is .22 because his other gun bullets cost too much. He was a retired electrician from the nuke plant.
