Are you planning to pull the motor yourself? Or are you planning to have "the shop" do everything? i.e. Pull it, rebuild, re-install?
If you're going to pull it yourself, and have the machine shop just to do the rebuild, Frank at C&F Automotive ( across from Moes in Westwego ), is one of the best automotive machinists in the area. If you're going to have a shop do it, I couldn't tell ya. I'm a Tech myself, so I never trusted anyone else to mess with my stuff. Dale's Quality Car Care on Manhattan has a close working relationship with all the machine shops in the area though, and they are damn good.
