I have a lot of Unique and Bullseye powder. Loading for a 357. I am using a 158 grain LSWC bullet. Loading either 5.7 - 5.8 grains of Unique or 4.5 - 4.6 grains of Bullseye. Anyone have any preference for either powder?
Unique and WW292/110 have been my go to
A good rule of thumb is to choose a powder that fills more than 50% of case; less chance of double charge, or in yours case a quadruple charge
I have some HP-38/Win 291 and max is 7 grains which would probably be close to a 50% case fill. I can't find any load for a 357 that uses 10 grains or more which would fill a 357 case more that 50%.
I sure hope y'all are more careful of weights than you are about typing - that should be HP38/WW231
Do you mean WW296/H110?
Yes, Sorry I thought everyone knew it was the same
OK I quit being the grammar/spelling police.. I would use Unique.
Don't quit - correct spelling in reloading data is critical as reloading errors can be costly if not lethal.
