He didn't hurt anything but the barrel (shot out over the years) upper and lower ready to go. New barrel, gas tube, hand guard.

If he was serious he would have cut across where the trigger is located.

I wouldn’t have cut those hand guards. I know people with 30year old guns that hasn’t had 100rds though them *that gun was clean*.

With that said it could have been staged.

People will do anything for 15 minutes of fame. 30 minutes and I'll have that semi auto rifle fully functioning again.

As it is, its still a single shot SBR. Albeit one with a huge muzzle flash. He could kill himself with it. Might be his next video.

A good free float would be much better.

I shoot under 200yards iron Sights and don’t see a difference when I try a free float handguard. Now with glass and or at greater distance maybe so.

I’ve bought 4sets of those Handguards for a build and every set came cracked by the vents.

Free float handguards don't make much of a difference unless you're shooting well beyond 200 yards and/or shooting for precision, or if you're shooting a machine gun.

I hear ya. I just would rather have something and not need it than to need something and not have it.

Exactly. That's why I have an Armalite AR-50 for my home defense rifle. I may not need a 50 BMG round to stop the threat but, just in case, it's there.

Was it left handed??? I thought the camera was flipped like when people are in a car and it looks like they are driving on the wrong side....
