No, but for years I’ve cooked my BCG’s in the oven and once they’re up to temp, dropped them in duralube to season them. They clean up real easy.

After cleaning with Weapon Shield I lubricate my firearms with Mobil 1 VTAC 20W50. Been doing this for a very long time with zero issues.

Yep ever sense I got into AR’s in 2011 and joined AR15.com. They have a hole write up on it.

I use a mix of 60% of Mobil One 5w-20 too 40% of Marvel Mystery Oil. Works great and doesn’t collect a lot of dust.

Type Mobil 1 for firearm lubricant and you will find plenty to read.

I have been using Ben's Red mix for cleaning and also the mix as a lube. I had Royal Purple oil instead of Mobile 1 so used that instead.
Added some Dexron Trans fuild 50% and 50% Royal Purple as a lube. Worked well and did not dry out or turn.

I had a can of Mobile 1 in a spray can many years ago and used it on my guns. It was really good. I also used it to lubricate my car door hinge. When I attempted to get out of the car, I pushed the door as I normally did and the car door flew open violently. It worked too good. When that can ran out, I could not find it anymore. I did find a small squeeze bottle of gun oil that indicated it was synthetic. That is what I'm using now.

However, I had a AR-15 that I bought used. The barrel good but I now no information on the gun's history. When I cleaned and lubed it with the Mobile 1, I started getting 2 or 3 shots per trigger pull. The range officer was not happy. I replaced some of the worn parts and it is fine now, I would like to find out where Mobile 1 10W is available in a spray can.

Assume 6,000 miles on an oil change with Mobil 1. If you average 30 mph and the engine averages 2000 rpm, your engine will have turned 24 million rotations in the 6000 miles. If Mobil 1 can protect that, it's plenty good as gun lube for 1 trip to the range in my opinion. I use Ballistol for cleaning and Mobil 1 10w/30 for lube. Why 10w/30? Because it's what I had on hand.

Dextron ATF mixed with Mobile 1 or Royal Purple has been used by many.

I used Mobil 1 for a long time, works great. In some guns (especially rifles stored vertically) I found the lighter weights like 10W30 would eventually run/seep out. Something like the 20W50 JBP55 recommended, or one of the blends will stay in place much better and still work well at the range.

Upon further review , apparently there is such a thing as Mobil 1 Synthetic aerosol spray lube. I just can't find where to order it .

All of the “oil” forums say it is not produced anymore.
