I really want to see one and hold it in person. Renting and test firing would also be a huge bonus. Any AUG owners want to go shooting or can tell me about the rifle?

If you're ever up in the Shreveport area, give me a holler. I don't have a Styer (I wish), but I have an MSAR STG-556 clone and love it.

Will do buddy. I'm down in BR so that's a bit of a stretch for me. I noticed the clones are only a few hundred cheaper than the AUGs. How is the trigger?

The trigger wasn't bad originally. I put in a "Trigger Tamer" shortly after I bought the rifle, it lightened up the pull quite a bit. I was astounded that with the 3X optic I could ring the steel at 500 yards (also with the FS-2000). Not surprised the rifle was capable, astounded that I could! The eyes ain't what they used to be.

Way back when there was a huge difference in price between the AUG and clones, that's why I bought the MSAR. Now, if it's only a few hundred, I'd buy a Styer. Be sure to check what mags it uses, the later ones used M-16 mags.
