As many of you know I've been working on getting a campus carry bill for our state. Good news the bill gets sponsored today and it should be in committee Wednesday. We have approximately 1000 students from across the state who have signed our petition in support of it but now we need your support. If you can go to the state Capitol Wednesday wearing pro second amendment gear and whether you can make it or not fill out this digital statement of support.

It's your Bill, and I support it, but I don't think this is how you want this to go down?!?

Slogans and signs are usually best kept outside of the Capital. Besides, aren't all law abiding "pro" gun measures already understood to be within the framework of the 2nd?

What you should want is a crap load of well spoken, well dressed students succinctly articulating the reasons that we want/need this. Along with as many parents who also want this for their students.

    Just a suggestion.

I agree that the second, as the founders meant it, would make this bill a mute point but the legal reality isn't that.
We do have students giving testimony but we also want to pack the room. It makes an impact having a bunch of people there with green cards
