    As silly as this sounds on its face, this is a very good comparison. As for immigration; you have townships, and state governments that are in clear violation of federal law, and no one is doing a damn thing about it. When the time comes to create enclaves of pro-Constitutional citizens in states where morons have enacted Unconstitutional gun laws, how does that get enforced?

    If this were to go statewide, and I lived in a bordering state, I'd lease a secure warehouse and for the next three years, I'd "re-home" rifles for a reasonable annual fee. Brief inspection and catalog, on the owner to prep/lube and provide a lockable case. Don't give it up, just move and store it for the required timeframe until it's legal.

    A simpler solution would be to ban assaults murder and armed robbery. If they did this then people would be forced to obey the law and it would be illegal to. Commit a crime with a weapon. FYI this is sarcasm but reinforces the point that criminals care less if they are breaking the law
