Senate Bill 491 is due to be voted on by the senate on Thursday April 12th. This is the bill that seeks to ban so called bump stocks. It is over broad and subjective. It doesn’t clearly define what is to be banned and could be interpreted to ban such common items as aftermarket triggers used by hunters and target shooters. Call your senators immediately and ask them to vote NO on SB491.

They'll keep this bill and others in contention as long as the legislature is in session, hoping that the opposition and citizens will forget about it. The legislators are paid to be there, but, average citizens who work for a living can't afford to hangout for the entire time that the legislature is in session to monitor its happenings.

SB 274 is also on the calendar for potential call again to the floor for a vote.

It ain't over till it's over.
