    James,
Did Speer keep the G2’s the same as first released? Or did they make a design change to the projectile to to help with consistent expansion?

The first batch was recalled and Speer made a slight change and they were released again after being tested.
I got a case of the first ones released and had them tested by a State Agency. I then purchased 5 cases of 124+P HST.

the HST would be hard to beat in uniformity of expansion, round to round

The Gold Dot rounds which are bonded do slightly better through windshields and LEA's like bonded rounds.
Comparing 147gr. Gold Dot G2 and 147gr. HST.

Gold Dot has more penetration in Gelatin, 4 Layer Cloth, Wallboard, and Safety Glass.
HST has more penetration in Steel and Plywood.
HST has more expansion in Gelatin, 4 Layer Cloth, Wallboard, and Safety Glass.
Gold Dot G2 has more expansion in Steel and Plywood.

LEA's prefer penetration with reasonable expansion.
