    Jefferson parish won't. Neither will St tamanay. It is against the law for the information to be given to John q public. An FFL can request one but it is my understanding that it only checks to see if it is listed as stolen they don't get any specific information.

    With only the serial number and no manufacturer/importer I don't think it's possible to nail it down. How many manufacturers have made a firearm with serial number "123456"?

    Note: Individual manufacturers/importers can not have duplicate serials on the same model, but they can on different models. FN made P-35 Hi-Power pistols for several countries, most of the time they started each contract with serial number 1.
