Headed down to the coast to break in my new boat (12 ft creek boat with electric motor ) We were late getting to Grand Isle so we slept later than usual but made it to the water at 8:15. We didn’t kill em, but caught plenty enough to feed us for the weekend. Each of us caught a nice red along with some smaller reds and a trout. They were caught in the marsh near the second bridge leading out of Grand Isle. They were caught with gulp shrimp under a cork and a matrix shad swim bait. The color was shrimp creole for matrix shad and new penny for the gulp shrimp. Think I’m going to put one of the bigger ones on the grill tonight. It’s nap time now. Tight lines to everyone !
