Really? Did they not call revolvers pistols before semiauto handguns hit the scene? I believe they did. I’ve heard all the arguments, but even the early single shot flintlock handguns were referred to as pistols and the old west revolvers were called revolving pistols.
This is kind of like the suppressor vs silencer thing. Are we having fun yet?
