Taken from my Iphone, so the quality isn't like 12mp but it works.

Im in the green Holister shirt. Me my wife, and my 2 Friends headed out Sunday and we had a blast. Literally, next time im bringing out the skeet and launcher. The AR performed well along with the Saga 20 AK, no jams all day!

    Ok

So we get there and this is what we see.

Quite a mess but the place is quite interesting. There is so much Damage around you and mess you just can't help but Shoot everything up. Safely... :mamoru:

So the Wife pulls out her .223, she is newb to holding it standing up other than sitting like at Nicks.

This is Lewis getting my AR loaded up, excited you can see.

Didn't have the Sleigh for skeet so we were throwing them. Lol, Pull.

Crazy stance, I was just unloading the full clip. There goes 17$.

And that was our sunday at the range.

Also, had to throw this one in. Don't ask, he was infact stroking the weapon.

Fun collection, thanks for the pics...I was curious about what the place looked like.

What is the range of the shooting area?

It looks like someone could make some money there with a lot of work...lol...so much metal and plastic.

Looks like a "blast" but the mess there is actually kinda depressing. :(

First blue barrel is 50. Second is 100. The end of the range is 250 (well I paced off 245, but close enough, and I have long legs...)

I'm going to bring a rake, some garbage bags and gloves. I just don't have a truck to put it in to haul it off.

if nothing else we can just put the stuff in a big pile...

really, there could be so much brass there that there is some money to be made with some work if someone was interested.

if someone had a bobcat or a 4 wheeler with a 'bucket' on the front it would be sooooo easy.

Im going to try and make it out there with you guys and i'd be up for picking up some trash also.

Its a great place, sucks people abuse it and trash it up like that.

Im going to nicks this Friday to sight in my new Red Dot on the AR, out there isn't a good place for sighting in.

I can't tell from the pics

    - Would a Bobcat be overkill?

    - Is there a way to get a "Bobcat" down there, like an area that is not a cliff?

    - How hard is the ground down there, makes a difference on wheeled vs track machine.

    - What about a burn barrel for the paper & wood trash ?

    - What are y'all doing for targets & holders?

    - After shooting in dumps it don't look so bad

From the pics it looks like a Bobcat would make it possible to actually do a decent cleanup job. We'll just scratch the surface with rakes.

I'd say that its hard dirt, but I think it is supposed to rain a little bit this weekend so it may soften up...but its probably sandy dirt and stays pretty hard, doesn't stay muddy for long.

No idea really, just giving some feedback based on the pictures...the other guys can give better feedback since they have been there. :D

    I...just wanted to feel important...

    hehe

What I find that makes good impromptu tsrgets and holders is election signs that you stick in your yard on those little wirery holders and then you can staple targets to them.

    I dont have any though.

A bobcat would be a great thing. The ground is solid, but tires would have puncture risk. You could cut a ramp for accsess. I dont know about burn regulations but If you left a burn barrel it would get shot up.Targets and holders, bring them.

It was realy messy but atleast there's no need to bring targets. Take a few of the 1000's of shells on the ground and you'v got a few good targets at 70 yards. Man my Beretta shure looks good in those pic's.
