    Hey guys,

I'm thinking about investing in a good set of gunsmithing screwdrivers. The Brownell's fixed blade block looks like it would work well, and I've generally been happy with Brownells' quality ... do any of you have experience with this screwdriver set, or do any of you have a different set that you'd recommend?

    Thanks,

I did a fair amount of research on this about a year ago and ended up buying chapman bit sets. Check them out, they are very high quality and every review I could find was very positive. I have been very happy with the quality and fit of the slotted and hex bits, both std and metric. I bought the largest set, so I have everything they sell. Pricey, but they do not leave my assembly bench and they do not cause me any headaches.

    Thanks for the responses, guys.

I currently have a Chapman set with the removable tips, and it works fine ... but I generally prefer the positive feel of fixed-shank screwdrivers. I now that it'll be more expensive to replace an entire screwdriver if I wreck a tip, but I also don't imagine that this will happen all that often (I'm fastidious about using my tools properly).

Let's pretend that price isn't an object (which it is, of course) ... what is the best screwdriver set out there?

i recently got a big set of husky from lowes or home depot.
i abuse the heck out of them. still great shape and good sharp edges.
it was like $35 for 16 screwdrivers. no case just the plastic holder.
