Ok so I’m not genius when it comes to wires and electrical related issues. I understand it flows like water and you have a positive a negative and a ground in most cases. That’s about the extent of my wiring knowledge here’s where I need some help. I have an old Insight m3x I want to use as a long gun light for a build. It’s hard to find the long gun back plate for them to where I can plug the dual pressure switch into(everything is discontinued). The only ones I have found are a backplate with a wire integrated into the plate itself. I have a dbal I would like to use with the pressure switch as well so instead of having two separate pressure pads I can just have 1 that controls both. So my question is this: would it be possible to cut the wire connected to the back plate and cut the end off of the pressure switch and splice the wires together making it able to use the light with my pressure pad. One button would control the light and the other would control my dbal. I’ll attach some pics of the light, the backplate with wire, and the dual pressure switch.

Forgot all about heat shrink. Was thinking today on how I was going to cover all that up without using electrical tape. Although that’s most likely what I would’ve done if you hadn’t mentioned this.

If I had the long gun back plate then yes it would work. I believe insight quit making them a while back so I can’t find the back plate I need. The only one I can find has a wire directly attached to it without the capability of taking it off. That’s why I’m trying to figure out if my plan would work
