Well, you could knock me over with a feather.

I got a call from the CMP today telling me that my random number (15###) finally came up. I had long since given up on getting one of these, but I guess they still have some.

Anyways, I requested a service grade; figured I couldn't go wrong for $1050.

So hopefully, in a week or two, I'll have a new toy. :D

Once again, I'm stunned in all the right ways.

So I got my call from the CMP early this afternoon (around 1:30 or so). Once I chose the grade of pistol I wanted and made payment, they told me that they would contact my FFL to make sure he could still receive the weapon. And assuming everything checked out there, that my paperwork would go into the system for processing, and I could expect my weapon within three to four weeks. He said that it normally didn't take that long, though.

I got an email about an hour ago that my weapon had shipped. They ship all of them Fedex overnight, so that means my gun should be at my FFL by tomorrow.

    Now THAT is customer service.
