    Well the BATFE states otherwise, right in the response letter I posted above. You are pretty damned funny I must say. Borderline ignorant.


    That was one person who is not a lawyer, but a field agent at a branch of the BATFE. I could call 18 of them, and get 18 different answers. There is no adopted guideline for this. Have you eve dealt with the BATFE? Had your NFA, or Business audited? Dealt with a BATFE lawyer, and not a resident field agent? You can think what you want sir, and ignorant I may be. Nothing said here is going to change my opinion.

    Yes, no FFL is required by law. The law also doesn't ban FFL's for private sales.

    As long as the FFL follows the rules on personal sales. As a rule it is easier for an FFL to just do the Background check, because they still have to maintain the same records for privates sales as they do commercial sales.
