Go to Davis-Mothan AFB on Google Earth -- as of 2/23/17 there are 158 surplus F-16's sitting out there in the desert--(Add 19 more on the run-up ramp) Maybe we could sell them a used one before it goes to scrap or a QF drone......Get a few bucks that we can use to fix ours!

Actually even more -- as of 11/19/2017 I count 202 F-16's, I found another area with a bunch more......we have more aircraft in storage than most countries have in their entire Air Force!

They'd probably let you have one for a great deal. 5 million, just add gas :)

Years ago at NAS Belle Chase we had a A-4 armed with practice rockets (no explosive) come in late at night and there were no ordinance personnel to meet the plane and disarm the rockets. It was parked facing the Navy hanger and the next morning when the mechs were servicing it somehow one of the rockets fired. It went into the second floor officers locker room. Luckily no one was hurt.

Wow, that could have been a freakin disaster even tho it was inert! A buddy of mine was a AF sheetmetal mechanic (retired). Went to Saudi for the Gulf war and repaired A-10s. Brought me back a spent 30mm casing fired over there, on my shelf.

Correction, Negligent discharge. Anytime a booger hook presses a trigger, that is not an accidental discharge.
I’m thinking it’s possible to cause the weapon to fire without even accessing the cockpit. Nonetheless, an aircraft mech should know better.
