    It is a "side charger", but the charging handle still moves rearward like normal.

    Keep that in mind for whatever application you intend to use it on.

    Sure I get that. I really prefer a side charged system and this is effectively the same. Just wanted to know if anyone had used one before. Reviews online seem solid.

    Do you need to have the allen key with you at all times to remove the handle to field strip it? That would definitely be a deciding factor to put this on any rifle I have.

    My biggest reason for wanting a side charger was to eliminate the rear charge handle and greatly reduce the gas in my face. Just saying FYI but sorry no experience with DDC!
