I foolishly sold my 21a bobcat a few years back knowing production had been discontinued. Regret set in immediately.

I recently learned from Beretta that the little pistol was only temporarily discontinued for mfg relocation and retooling. These are beginning to show up on dealer shelves again.

Got myself the Inox version this time and am rediscovering the joy of shooting it.

That's cool. My father just called me up and wanted me to see what he could get a Beretta 21 for. He has been wanting one since he sold his many years ago. Perfect timing.

I was patient. There is one "prime gun" dealer, ahem...who is jacking up his price because everyone else seems to have sold out...for now! They seem to be coming in batches to the market. As demand drops, they will be easier to find. I got mine in the mid-300 range.

I have an Inox version. Nice little gun. My favorite pocket pistol in .22 is a Walther TPH, it has better sights and a crisper single action trigger than the Beretta. I also like the Wilkinson Sherry it is only a little big bigger than the Baby Browning. If you get a chance try a Beretta 950 in .22 short, they are a lot of fun to shoot. My 21a has been completely reliable with high speed ammo. Dave

Yeah, the Walther TPH is one sexy little pistol. Reminds me of the lines on the Sig P232, a gun I regret selling years ago.

These are great little pistols. I bought mine barely used ages ago and I’m the one responsible for most of the rounds it’s seen.
Ok, here it comes... I bought a Taurus version from a member here and put a set of Hogue rubber grips on it, bought some mags and pinky extensions...I like it every bit as much and it’s never failed me.
There, I said it. I’m one of the biggest Beretta fans you’ll ever meet, btw.

I wish I'd gotten one of the Tauruses when they were in production. I've read positive reviews on the new poly models but would prefer the metal frame version.

operation and handling are the same. The only difference I’ve noticed shooting the 2 back to back is a slight difference in the trigger. The Beretta has a little softer and longer DA pull than the Taurus, and I can actually hit smaller targets farther out with the Taurus. If you find a decent used one I’d highly recommend it.

I have one that was made in 93 that I got in a swap from another forum member. That is a very accurate and reliable little piece. I want to get it threaded for my cans! I also want to pick up a inox too.

I second this about the TPH.

I think emgunslinger can thread those. I would like to have one for my Occlus.
