That's dumb. A significant number of people don't portray themselves accurately on social media. What about all the fake profiles?

Both Adams and Palmer pushing the bill are democrats, and they will do anything to slow or deny a firearms purchase. But this is New York, where the political base is majority liberal dems and anti-gun so no real surprise there.
Even if it means denying your legal/constitutional right to purchase a firearm if they interpret one of you FB posts or tweets as a threat to anyone. Key words are interpretation and perception of social media comments, pictures, and posts.

If we as a country weren't so far removed from caring about personal liberty and freedom, this would scare a lot of people in all political corners to fight this kind of digital aged McCarthyism before it was even announced. But I digress.

Sadly, instead of being shouted down by all for it's Unconstitutionality and clear invasion of privacy concerns; phony liberal politicians run it up the flagpole and lemmings in their party gladly cheer it on! This is not a partisan issue, this is "American" issue.

    Dumbasses!

They don’t just want to know if you did something in the past, but want to guess your future intent as well. FYI social media isn’t just places like Facebook and Twitter... it’s sites like BS as well.

Most of this is just token nonsense so that these politicians can say that they're "doing something." And then when it gets shot down, they'll have someone to blame.

If this ever passes, it will almost certainly get appealed up to SCOTUS, and my money is on these politicians losing.
