So I’m thinning out my stuff and this is one of my more interesting items. It’s a hard case for night vision imaging systems pilots use during night flights. It is one hell of a case. With 6 latches to secure the sides it creates an air tight seal. I believe this case will pressurize itself with a valve on the front. It is marked * US PROPERTY* and has all the stamps and serial numbers still very visible. It’s pretty neat looking, I use it as a pistol case and can fit 4 full size handguns with lights plus magazines. Has some fresh foam in it. Asking 75 or best offer.

I don't know but I'm guessing that since it's airtight you need the pressure relief button or it'll blow open when you release the latches at 30000 feet.

The release valves are to equalize the pressure before you open the case as temperature changes can create a vacuum in the case and make it hard to open otherwise. I keep mine closed on all my air tight cases and just crack the valve before I open a case.
If I were taking one on a flight I’d crack the valve for good measure.
