I'm looking for a good seamstress in or around Baton Rouge. I need to have a 4" x 4" velcro loop patch sewn onto the shoulders of a jacket. The jacket is reversible so I imagine it would need to be done by hand.

I will check them out. Their website says that location is where the seamstress is. They list size modifications, shorten or lengthen hems, and replace buttons or zippers as the services they offer but I can't imagine sewing on a patch would be out of their wheelhouse.

Bates and Thigpen on 3rd street between Florida and Laurel. They sew on the patches for Prairieville Fire department uniforms including reversal jackets. They do a good job. They also do the same for a lot of the local police departments.

The tailor shop on the corner of Sharp @ Old Hammond would probably do it. Nice family that owns it.

I have to be downtown on Tuesday. If I can find a place to park I may check them out.

I've always gone to the lady in the mall. I think it's Hakky.

The mall...hmmm...I'll keep that one in mind.

I'm in that area pretty frequently.

Before you get antsy, it's literally the first store on the left at one of the non-main entrances. Easy to get to.

But if you go in the wrong entrance...you are forever on a hunt in the mall and before you know it, you walk out with smediums from American Eagle.
