If you came here looking for information about all the new gun laws, sorry. I didn’t mean for the title to give that impression, rather to say, there are new laws popping up everywhere.
Many people don’t seem concerned because the most restrictive and radical infringements are going on either in California or the northeast. And Colorado passed a mag capacity limit didn’t they. Well yeah, they had that mass shooting and all.. oh, and now Florida. Red Flag law there... was that because of the school shooting?
Florida is kinds close. The argument that it ain’t gonna happen in the south kinda went out the window on that one, huh...
So now New Jersey with a magazine law. Meh, no biggie, right?
Maybe pay attention to how they’re planning to implement and enforce the law, and the fact that they ain’t telling. Maybe consider that we could very well be facing the same or worse here in Louisiana.

Florida is loaded with people from New England bringing their politics with them, likewise Colorado is inundated with Californians doing the same. Mire concerning is Texas. Texas is attracting businesses there from both areas and some employees are relocating.

There will soon come a time where gun ownership will effect the ability to get health, life, auto, and home insurance. I said this before and I’ll say it again, they will make it impossible for one to afford to live through tax and penalties because of gun ownership. A way to circumvent the second amendment. You can have your guns but no insurance or even possible employment. It’s coming.

I do not see that happening.

If you want to stop this kind of stuff, you have to become politically aware and active - and you have to convince others that your point of view is the correct one. That's the way this country works. Right now there's a slew of anti-gun folks who are willing to get off their butts, put their money where their mouth is, and do the work to persuade people that THEY are right.

We have far fewer pro-gun folks in the Louisiana Legislature right now than we used to have.

    Eternal vigilance, folks.

The NRA puts out a rating for Louisiana politicians 9 times out of 10 Republicans get the A rating, The socialist democrats get an F

There are a lot of socialist democrats on the criminal justice committee, which is where the gun bills originate.
