    He was responding with other officers after a subject shot his girlfriend, then ran into the hospital where it happened (Mercy in Chicago). A Chicago officer, Samuel Jimminez, was shot and killed in the exchange. I didn't choke up laughing.

    He was part of a QRF type unit and his sidearm was holstered because he had his long gun.
