    That civil war map is very interesting. I agree with the statement from the post before this one about no official date for the name change. From what I have found out it appears the bottle is from around the turn or the century to around 1920. I did find the name of the local historian at the library and will call them when I get a chance to see if they can fill in more blanks about the bottle. After that call, I will leave it to rest as I got other irons in the fire that need tending.

    What you have there is a Hutchinson soft drink bottle probably from the late 1800's. They're also called "blob tops". During that time just about any town had a bottling works. The top had a metal piece of wire and a rubber washer that was pushed in to open whence the "pop". Hope this helps.

    I don't have a clue about yours it's a cool bottle.

    Here's one we dug out of the Amite river at Port Vincent. I had never heard of it.
