There doesn’t really seem to be a middle ground on these things.

I absolutely love them. As a kid my dad would go to the Hi-neighbor market in BR and get the black olives from the deli and most times we’d eat the whole thing in one sitting.

I like all kinds and keep a jar of green ones in the fridge and eat them by themselves or with cheese. The Italian grocers in N.O. Has some of the best black ones around. Not sure where they get theirs from.

A friend got me a medley of greens, blacks and peppers from world market that are pretty good.

My SIL was a distributer for a company that carried a variety of stuffed olives. I have had them stuffed with lemon, jalapeño, garlic, feta cheese, blue cheese, onion bulbs.

    The lemon was the weirdest.

Love them! All kinds! But, I’m also 50% Sicilian and grew up in the New Orleans Metro area, so I’ve been spoiled with quality olives all my life. Now, I want some! Be right back!

I must be a rare breed, I don’t love them and I don’t hate them.

Never had a problem with the black ones sliced and mix in or on things ie pizza or dip.

I can eat one or two green ones stuffed or plain.

I may go a year or more without eating them and not care.
I won’t go out of my way to eat them.

I guess I’m in the rare gray area.

Heard that! Love them myself and I’ve found some good ones from straight across the pond at a little store across from the Farmers’ market. I can’t remember the name it’s been so long now.

Love black, not so fond of green. IDK why, but I always find green olives too dang salty.
