Just put tinfoil in the grill. It distorts the radar return. Foil isn’t only for attics.
I guess I should clarify that I'm looking for a vehicular radar detector that goes on the dash and detects law enforcement radars and lasers.

I have an Escort Passport 9500i I paid nearly $500 for that's sitting in the original box that still works like a champ and has a Ka band range that is still over the top awesome. As a salesman on the road, this thing has saved me many thousands of dollars through the years.

Amazon sells them for $279, I'd take $150.

    Check your PM.

    Thanks!

I've got a Beltronics GT-7 that is currently listed on eBay. Take a look at it here https://www.ebay.com/itm/352575401967 If your interested in it, shoot me a PM and I'll make you a much better deal than what I'm asking on there. I'd work out a trade for just about anything firearm related as well.

Using Waze along with a decent radar detector, and you're virtually bullet proof.

Thanks be to the Waze Community.

If someone knows what they are doing while utilizing a LIDAR no detector will help you. The radar detector is awesome when LEO get lazy.

This, LIDAR will give Speed and Distance almost immediately when you Pull The Trigger.

Usually your speed is acquired before your "detector " detects. Pretty sure the radar companies and detector companies are in it together lol

I'm not concerned about the smart cops with LIDAR tools. It's the guys going the other way down the street who just leave it on that I'm hedging against. Especially in small towns where they're willing to turn around and come say hey for you going 7 over.

A decent detector plus Waze plus not driving like an idiot works really well at preventing tickets.

I figured. I don't speed excessively, but going up and down 49 I'll do 7 to 9 over the speed limit usually. Some small cities and even some troopers will pull ya over for that. My experience is that most cops using a laser don't want to speed up and pull someone over who's doing just 9 over.
