Where do you go, how good is it and all that?

The year my wife and I are going to a different one every week. ( I worked @ a few for about 15-20 years)

Last Friday we went to the one @ Westwego Volunteer Fire Department.
$10.00 a plate for the fish. Shrimp & combo is $1-2 more.
Fish is good. Salad is really fresh not a bagged mix. Mac & Cheese earns bragging rights. Includes a roll and a dessert. Prepacked Moon Pie type of thing.
I always see a bunch of people I know. Plus the WVFD are a superb bunch.
Mac & Cheese is worth it on it's own.

Next week we will hit a different one.

Elks Lodge in Gretna also has a good one if anyone is looking in that area. Shrimp, Oyster, Fish or a combo if I have it correct.

Where do you and yours like to support?

Or N4sir - Where you cooking?

Mike's Catfish in Amite has been one of my favorites for about 40 years.

restaurant - I was just thinking fish fry hosted by civic groups.
I may check them out when lent is over.

My wife and I discovered the fish @ West Jeff Medical Center cafeteria was very good and no line for lent - nobody eats at the hospital unless they need to be there.

I'm in the Knight's of Columbus at St. Francis Xavier on Metairie Rd. I probably won't be there this Friday as it's the wife's birthday and I'm really not as active as I used to be. I used to make the shrimp gumbo from scratch for three Friday night fish fry's but not anymore. We still do have a pretty good fried fish though.

We might be going to St Catherine's of Sienna - not too far from SFX. I go if I hear how good it is or if I know someone, but it still has to be good. Putting one on is a team effort.

44.95 for a 'Mega Platter', but the tea is only 1.95 so it works out.

I like the pics of the softshell crab special. Seafood Slider Trio be sounding correct too. Asian Almond Shrimp though.

    What's your recommendations?

The mega platter will feed 2.
    Everything on it is outstanding.
Probably the best fried catfish and soft shell crab I have ever had.
Bec’s is hidden jem off the beaten path.

Friday #3 we went to Immaculate Conception School in Marrero.
I used to work @ that one. They have a big crawfish festival coming up on April 6th.

Fish was great and they added gumbo.
Salad, White Beans and Rice, Fish and a Homemade Roll for $10
Gumbo was good with "Real Shrimp" and Crab for $6
They sell pizza for those that don't eat fish and have a separate dessert table.

I know many of the people there it is always to see some people I expect and some that are unexpected.
