First off thanks in advance. I’m trying to figure out if this is an original M1 Carbine or a replica. I did a lot of googling and watching YouTube but I’m still unsure. The serial # is 680xxxx, the stamp on the bottom of the front of the barrel says 45. I read there are a lot of 1945 replicas. Here are some pics thanks for any input

The manufacturer's name is stamped on the reciever under the rear sight.
Looks like a USGI from what I see. Go to USCarbineCal30.com lots of good info there and the CMP forum.

I believe it to be real. Looks like a nice carbine. From what I can see it has a type II barrel band and type II rear sight. Stock is for Underwood. You buying or selling?

Yep, it's a real Inland Carbine. But check the markings on the breach ring (pull the operating rod back). Make sure if says "cal .30 M1". If it says M2, or the 1 is over stamped with a 2, run far away! That little 2 makes it a machine gun in the eyes of the Feds.

Ok so I pulled the trigger, I didn’t shoot it but I bought it. Unfortunately I was delayed. Can’t wait to shoot it

From the Comprehensive Guide M1 Carbine, 2nd Expanded Ed., Larson
Inland Division of General Motors, Dayton,OH
M1 Carbine production total 86.91% cost per to U.S. $37.75
    Serial No. block 5 6,629,884 - 7,234,883 Nov. 1944- Jan 1945
Ordnance Stamp with Inspector Guy H. Drewry/Underwood Elliot-Fisher stock
The varying colors of parts from gray to green kinda shows age. New production more than likely would be uniform parkerization gray to blackish gray.

That stamp on the wood looks like the Springfield stamp. Looks legit and clean.....Mind if I ask where did you buy it, and how much you paid for it?
