Anyone ever had old t-shirts made into a quilt/blanket? I have a ton of old band tour shirts that no longer fit my fat gut, but I'd like to keep for the memories and whatnot, rather than just give them away. If you've done this, what company did you use? There are a bunch of companies online that do this, but I'm hoping to find a Louisiana based company if possible. Any info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My Mother in Law took a bunch of her brother's (who passed) old shirts and made them into a quilt for his daughter's graduation present.

I don't know of a company but I have seen something similar done with good results.

Never seen a company that did it. I’ve got several aunts that did that sort of thing. One of them makes quilted teddy bears that’s really neat. I’ve got one made out of my moms old dresses.

Maybe look for a quilting group in your area?

Go to your local senior citizens center. The ladies there are always looking for something to do. I had them finish a quilt for my mom. I gave them $100.
