I'm sure many of us have that beautiful handgun that has just enough imperfections to keep it from being truly collectable. And then there are those guns that just have that serious, no nonsense, work horse wear on them. I love them all.
Here are a couple of my shooters. How about y'all ?

I came across an old M1917 that I was offered by serveral folks to chunk it in the river for me as it will win no beauty pageants but a shooter yeah. Someone ground off all the U.S. markings with a side grinder, a few places I can see blue but plenty o rust, grip is repaired with what appears to be a portion of broom handle whittled to fit the break and nailed in, and on and on.

Cz p09, Walther q5 match. The q has over 10k thru it and shows no signs of slowing down, all I have had to do is replace the recoil spring. And the cz runs like a recently serviced Swiss watch, probably like 4k thru that one, won a local pistol competition with it just a month ago

I like to consider all of mine shooters but I have a few that I have never fired for some strange reason. I feel like I'm detracting from the value. I'm starting to trade some of those off, like my S&W Model 29.

All in my gun collection are "shooters" because I dump any that are not. But my very favorite "shooter" is my M&P 9 Pro CORE. I am able to put 18 rounds in a 5" circle at 21 feet. Not bad for an old fart.
