Remember when y'all told me, on this very forum, that bumpstocks are stupid, and it's ok if they ban them?

    Remember that?

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Look at Virginia. Suppressors and hicap mags will be banned. Mr t will EO suppressor if he sees fit. I’ve been jumped before but this guy is the biggest threat to our 2nd amendment in a long time. It’s paving the way for the Dems to lay waste to our rights if there is any left when they again gain power. When the pen overrides the house and senate we are no longer free. Oh wait we are already there.

Virginia's about to get regulated like nobody's business! Their governor and attorney general both have the blackface scandal crap just dying down, and the lieutenant governor has "metoo" allegations that have come out of the shadows, so it's gonna be "Look everybody! Evil guns and their death-enhancing accessories! Let's all get 'em!"

Surely not. I couldn’t fathom a politician manufacturing a crisis to avoid the political blowback from a personal scandal.

Now back to my free bubble-ubb and rainbow stew.

Anyone else want to defend the orange haired idiot?

In three years of Trump I have lost more gun rights than I did in eight years of Obama. Maybe the best course of action is to elect a Democratic president in the next election, so that the NRA and gun owners start giving a **** again?

    .

There should be regulation on what dumb useless crap is allowed to be developed for the platform. Keep all the garbage and "novelty" items out. If you want that trash, buy an airsoft rifle and load it out. But keep the nutsack forward grip, the bump stocks, etc. in their own environment. Don't pollute the AR platform with that kind of trash.

    Any platform really.

    He's right.

Bump stocks, pistol braces, non-NFA "firearms," and that stupid Reformation rifle are all workarounds to laws set in place. The way to fix that is repealing the laws, not building gimmicky parts to skirt the law.

They can ban bump stocks and I'll smile while they do it, because the most folks buying them for hundreds of dollars are the same folks who think firearms education is unimportant, because they have "been shooting all their life."

I have to say I agree with leadslinger972 and kingfhb on this.

But moreover, be careful for exactly what the libtards are doing here.....they are setting Trump to lose his NRA backing. Trump is a smart guy -- if he does nothing he is an ass-clown and the media will have a field day. If he imposes some sort of (insert meaningless feel good change here) he is off the hook. To me it's like mom and dad taking away your least favorite Xbox game but you still get to play with all the rest of them.

Actually: Under Obama, I was able to purchase NFA items, as an individual, without the permission of my CLEO.

    Thank You President Obama.

Well here you go people, congrats I hope you're happy.

Even if nothing comes of his statements it still has exposed what he is really about. He will sign any anti gun bill that hits his desk. Or just EO on his own.

So adjustable stocks , pistol grips ,flash suppressors , large capacity magazines ( over 10 rounds ) mounted flash lights and other unnecessary gimmicks should be regulated ? Actually if the second is about hunting why does anyone need anything more than a single shot? As far as forward vertical grips people were putting them on long range guns in the 1800s . I never had a bump stock and never wanted one , I find 30 round mags cumbersome and prefer 20s but I don't think the government or anyone else should tell a law abiding citizen what he needs . If they can tell us how to exercise our 2ond then they can tell us how to and when to exercise our religious freedom . Remember "United we stand divided we fall " .

I think his point was highlighting a sample of the members here that said nothing bad will come from bumpstock decree, that "it's a useless toy" they were okay with having banned, and failed to realize the precedent set in using the DOJ/ATF to make law to circumvent law set in place by congress. Most here (and to be fair other gun owners across many platforms) were too nearsighted to look that far ahead... but here we are not even 6 months later with another unconstitutional proposal coming from the same man that said,"the 8 year assault on your second amendment rights is now over."

That is how I understood it and agree with you 100% . I never Trusted Trump as far as the second amendment and when he appointed a pro 2ond to the SCOTUS I said I would gladly eat crow , after the bump ban I decided to put the crow back in the freezer and wait and see who he puts in the next SCOTUS position . Hopefully I will be eating crow when and if it happens . I am not predicting he will waver I'm just praying he doesn't .

IMHO, at that point we need a bloody revolution and fix our govt. Maybe bring back dueling....

y'all are definitely on the right track about the slippery slope here. if it's ok to ban hi-cap mags, bump stocks, suppressors, etc, when does it become ok to ban 50s? CA already did it. if it's ok to ban 50s, how about a 468? 338LM? 300RUM? most of the murders i deal with are committed with 9mm and 40, so if we just completely get rid of them except MIL-LEO, well...

it's about that whole "pursuit of happiness" part. they're trying to force the issue that you don't "need" a suppressor or a 100-rd drum mag to be happy. well, sure, of course not. maybe. why is it anyone's place to say what a law-abiding citizen who's not harming anyone "needs" to be happy? if you don't need a 50, or a suppressor, or a full auto, then why do you need a fullsize SUV or a ferrari or more than 3 bedrooms? why do you need more than just barely enough money to pay your utilities and mortgage?

start with small ridiculous stuff that most people don't mind being banned, and work your way toward confiscating everything such that they're left wholly dependent on the state. saul alinsky advocated just that, based on his studies of mao, stalin, hitler, and other totalitarian regimes throughout history.

remember how it used to be perfectly legal to beat the flying snot out of someone for calling you a coward? for assaulting your wife? nowadays you get into a fistfight and you're both getting charged with battery, because we're "civilized". all of this recalls the old adage:

    hard times create strong men.
    strong men create good times.
    good times create weak men.
    weak men create hard times.

Dueling??? How about a rope and hang em' from the light poles in DC

I’m sure there is a law or city ordinance put in place to prevent that from happening. Pulling permits for such an event would be a nightmare. Not only that since it would be a permitted event open carriers would not be allowed to attend. See what they have created. We can’t vote our way out of this. It’s like bailing out the boat while at the bottom of the ocean.

Dam 2 party system and dead people voting...not to mention illegals...
I would love a 4 party system . We need a constitutional party but to split the Republican vote would be suicide unless the Democrats split in half , semi socialist party and full blown socialist party .
