If anyone is selling Silver now, I'd be interested in perhaps buying some.
Also, can anyone tell me where is the best place to buy Silver at a good price. I've looked around online, and really am not sure where I should shop.

    Thank you,
    EJAIII

When I get the silver buying bug I go shop on eBay. Prices seem to hover right around spot, which means you won't be paying extra to a brick-and-mortar, and when you sell you'll be closer to spot than you will anywhere else.

A mix... I like to keep 1 and .5 ounce bars plus an assortment of quarters and dimes

Online, I use Money Metals Exchange. Their over-spot prices are pretty fair and I usually shop the tarnished or bargain bin. I could care less what it looks like since I'm only concerned with the intrinsic value of the silver itself.

Just curious why y'all are buying silver? Do you speculate that the value will increase in years to come?

Additionally, how do you validate that what you're buying on the internet is real and actually has some worth to it?

Yes, its speculation on the price going up. You need to buy from a reputable source. I've been buying on Ebay from a mint. You need to be careful who you buy from.

I buy it as a hedge against inflation, or in other words, a hedge against the devaluation of the dollar. Silver and gold will always have intrinsic value. If the price of gold and silver rise, it simply means the dollar is worth less as compared to precious metals. It can always be traded for something of value if need be vs the dollar could potentially be worthless. See Venezuela currency if you're in doubt. Likely? I don't know. Possible? Absolutely. I choose to have a stash just in case.

My thoughts today (they're worth a penny) is that if the stock market takes a major correction, or takes a dive, the price of silver and gold should make substantial gains.

Looks like $21.17 is the cheapest with free shipping. I might let a few ounces go if anyone is interested.
