I made some Paella but put a twist to it.
I may gave added to much onion sausage and boiled the shrimp? The 87 yeat old neibor says that is not possible. Added crab boil when i boiled the shrimp as well as some Cajun seasoning to the dish.Did not have frozen green peas so left them out. Also added to much onion garlic and 3 kinds of bell peppers.
Topped with 3 Kinds of cheese and melted each plate with (Mexican style cheese)
I was board waiting on Barry and Googled Paella to see what it was. As I rembered it from TV.

So made a Turkey Pan worth. The Magnalite pan will hold a 18 maybe lager bird so what am I gonna do with all this Paella

    Pie-ay-uh...jambalaya....filet gumbo....
I’ve eaten some home cooked with the clams and everything but never a Cajun version. Looks good. I thought jambalaya had that covered already but I’m down with your version.
I wonder what jambalaya with Spanish rice would taste like...

When I think paella, I think of saffron, seafood (though I know it is often made with meat). and I think of that yellow/orange color....

I make a pot of jambalaya with shrimp , ham , smoked sausage , tomatoes , green peas and yellow rice . No source for fresh clams so I leave them out .
Close enough to Paella...basically a yellow rice Creole jambalaya .
Sometimes I even add a little chicken to it .
