I have a weird quirk about cooked fruit. I just don’t eat them. But love fresh fruit.

Similar quirk with condiments, I don’t mind using ketchup and mustard to say make a bbq sauce that will be caramelized on to the meat or make the rub stick. But I don’t add condiments to anything after it’s cooked, so no dipping sauces, no ketchup, no mayo, steak sauce, horseradish, relish etc

I would like to see the original recipe being made again. It changed in the mid 80’s I believe. When I was a kid I couldn’t wait to Go trawling, fishing, or hunting so I could eat them and wash it down with a Yoo Hoo.

The way my lucks been running the first store display I see they wont have coconut

I love the coconut hubigs. Can't wait. The rebuild is taking far to long.
My brother mentioned a couple days ago that they are going to start with the basic ones; apple, cherry and chocolate. Just hope it does not take them to long to get the full line up.
But I will be buying a few on day one when they come back to show them some love and support.

I’ll do a dipping sauce in occasion and do like specific condiments that I buy (never generic stuff though) but otherwise agree.
Definitely no ketchup or mayonnaise. Just nasty.

Keeping it on track, my wife loves the Hubig pies.
Suppose she has to being part Cajun.
But I am also not a pie eater.
Nothing weird about cooked fruit, just never cared for them.

I order Hamburgers with No Nothing, Dressed Yes.
On a side note, my dad had high blood pressure and ordered a grille and fries no salt. At low-end places like BK and Mc Donalds.
I do not know how many times they put tons of crap on them and salt on the fries. Once they dropped fries 3 times and still put salt. The manager says to the help I have cleaned the bin and put paper 3 times why are ya putting salt on the no salt fries? they said they taste better thay way.
So I hope Spleen gets better service then Dad or I get. As even High-End places have their way
Used to stop every morn for coffee and a pie.

I’m a fan! Why they stopped making them anyway? Did the plant blow up?

Edit: nvm, I read the article. Waiting for one of them cherry pies...
