Anybody know what this is on the trailer? I see them on the Interstate from time to time, but I have no idea what they are. Usually I see them on I12, but this one was on I49.

Yep, that is what it is. I think they are General Electric turbines.

The blades are huge. When you see them on the rail cars (extended rail cars) it’s only then you realize how big they are.

My daughter lives in Ohio and there is a wind farm about 2 miles from her house. I think GE has an overhaul facility for them in Houston

Housings are manufactured in California.
Shipped to Florida to have the internals installed.
Going east empty , they ship on a standard flat bed trailer.
Going west loaded out, the flat bed has about 6-8 axles.
186,000 lbs when they are loaded out.
