I am in the process of building another .308 AR. I will be using it for bench rest shooting, but I will be using it for hunting. Curious if anyone has good recommendations for muzzle device for hunting purposes. So far I have been looking at linear comps. Thank in advanced.

I do appreciate the linear comps. They may not be the best at taking recoil, but the blast energy goes downrange and that’s what I don’t miss. Never did mind a little bump on the shoulder. Better served using a hydraulic buffer or captured spring setup to dampen recoil if that’s what you are looking to do, along with that linear comp. great combo.

I prefer the m4-72 severe duty brake when I need something to get that last lil bit of less movement in my rifle.

I wear hearing protection at all times so not really worried about the increase in sound
