Just throwing this out there. My USGI M1 Carbines have become too valuable to drag thru the woods on the ATV or carry on the tractor, so was thinking of trying a cheap Plainfield M1 Carbine (not interested in the Universal). Should be reliable and have a nice bore. Will travel within a couple hours of Baton Rouge for the right price.
