Hi everyone, thanks for having me in the forum.
I've just recently gotten interested in the idea of doing some hog hunting in SE LA, so I joined the forum to see what I could learn well in advance. I realize it can be a dangerous pastime, so I'm trying to cover all my bases and get the necessary preparation in. I've found some good advice already just browsing around. I'm planning on spending some time at the honey-island swamp shooting range and started looking into all the hunting/boating classes and licenses I will need, as well as scouting the local regulations and locations (see my post asking about the Salvador/Timken WMA in the hunting section). I also do some saltwater fishing, but I'm guessing that's not the main interest of a forum named "Bayou Shooter."
As for personal information, I'm a 30yo man and a native to the area. I'm married, have 1 kid, some dogs, and I'm also an engineer. Most of my free time is spent running and playing music. I also do some free-lance audio work (podcast editing mostly).
