I've been wanting to get an outdoor stand alone cast iron griddle. This week I got myself one of those Blackstone 22" models. I didn't want to get a big one and discover that I didn't like it so the smaller version was priced right for a starter.
Yesterday morning I seasoned the griddle and for the introductory cook I decided to do Chinese food. Pork & vegetable stir fry was first and then a shrimp & pork fried rice.
On the griddle.....
I even gave the pork in the fried rice that char siu look.
On the plate.....
I tossed some egg and spring rolls in the deep fryer and did some won tons as well.
The griddle performed great! I can see some good eats coming off of it.
For the cost of $147.00 at Walmart with it coming with a lid, stand, and a hose to use either camping sized bottles of propane or the bigger tanks this isn't a bad deal.
